Elon University’s National Day of Racial Healing 2024

Elon University continues its tradition of observing the National Day of Racial Healing on January 16th, 2024. The Office of Inclusive Excellence Education and Development, in partnership with the Center for Race, Ethnicity and Diversity Education (CREDE), will host a “How We Heal” community dinner and dialogue.

This event facilitates open dialogue, allowing participants to listen, reflect, and develop actionable steps towards Elon’s vision of Inclusive Excellence. These activities align with Elon’s core values of respecting diversity and fostering meaningful relationships, particularly crucial in the current social climate.

Established in 2017 by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the National Day of Racial Healing is a call to action, part of the foundation’s Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation effort.
