NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray: Watch Live Tonight!

The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series kicks off with the Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. This thrilling exhibition race marks the return of NASCAR to the historic Winston-Salem short track after over 50 years.

Drivers battled through four heat races on Saturday to secure a spot in Sunday’s 200-lap main event. The top five finishers from each heat automatically qualified. Those who didn’t qualify had one last chance in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) race.

The LCQ offered two final spots in the Clash starting lineup. A provisional spot was also reserved for the highest-ranking 2024 Cup Series driver who hadn’t qualified, ensuring a full field of 23 drivers.

Chase Elliott secured pole position with a heat race win. William Byron and Alex Bowman also qualified through their heat races. Kyle Larson fought his way into the main event via the LCQ, setting the stage for an intense battle.

The Clash at Bowman Gray breaks from recent tradition. While a NASCAR staple since 1979, the event was previously held at Daytona International Speedway, the Daytona Road Course, and the Los Angeles Coliseum. This return to a historic short track promises close-quarters racing and aggressive driving.
