Salman Khan arrived late to the Bigg Boss 18 set on Thursday night amidst heightened security concerns. The Bollywood actor, accompanied by a robust security detail, arrived at the Bigg Boss compound and stayed in his designated chalet for safety before Friday’s scheduled shoot. He began filming around 7 pm on October 18th, a delay of nearly three hours from his usual 4 pm start time. The delay was partly attributed to the lack of film promotions scheduled for the weekend. Comedians Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh Lahiri from the TV show Laughter Chefs are rumored to be making a guest appearance on the show.
Salman Khan’s team worked closely with the production team and the channel to ensure his safe movement within the heavily secured set. Over 60 security personnel were present during filming, and strict entry protocols, including Aadhar card verification, were enforced. The Bigg Boss 18 crew was required to remain on-site until the completion of the shoot, which included two Weekend Ka Vaar episodes.
A recent threat against Salman Khan by an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has further escalated security concerns. The threat, demanding a payment of Rs 5 crore, warned of consequences worse than the recent fate of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was killed shortly after Salman Khan filmed the previous weekend’s Bigg Boss episode.
Following Baba Siddique’s murder and the new threat, Salman Khan has been granted Y-plus security, which includes a police escort vehicle and a trained constable armed with various weapons. This enhanced security detail accompanies him at all times.
